But I read it. I go back from time to time and read old things I wrote. Remember things I’ve forgotten. Anyway,

I don’t think I have ever been this exhausted in my life. Not just physically, though I did just go on a 4 our bike ride over the Golden Gate. No, this is more than physical. This is an exhaustion I carry with me everyday. Like a heavy backpack. It’s not a sad exhaustion, or a happy one at that. I have no better way to explain it. I’m exhausted. I’ve been exhausted since I moved to San Francisco. Maybe longer. To be honest, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t exhausted. My life has constantly been moving forward, and that comes with a price. I cannot, nor would I if I could, sit still. I cannot waste time, I cannot waste money, I cannot waste effort. To get where I’m going, where I want to be, is a constant struggle. A constant push.

But to be honest, that’s how I like it. Stress is a positive factor in my life. That’s why I live the way I do. Why I work 40 hour weeks, why I am a full time student, why I signed up to work for the Golden Gate Xpress on my days off. Some days are harder than others, but I’ve never faced a task I couldn’t beat.

But I have to admit, I could benefit from more sleep…
